Let me tell u y ?

Well it has been researched and found out that wen v laugh , a chemical called SEROTONIN , which is a happy hormone , gets released by the brain in our system in our  blood  and so wen v laugh , v feel happy and v feel gr8 which in turn adds to our health n then everything else ..

So LAUGH < ..Laugh Lots …….

So I have taken this responsibility to make everone , my fellow human beings , LAUGH AND MAKE THEM HAPPY.

Or AT LEAST MAKE THEM HAPPIER ………

Thru my COMEDY>>By COMEDIENNE   NEELAM AGARWAL…

My stand up comedy is light ,  simple , subtle and clean . I create my own genres of comedy . my comedy is very different and innovative , Good or bad , That’s for u to decide.

I write my own script for my shows and they r usually inspired from my real life experiences. My stand – up comedy  is usually in hindi , sometimes  in English also .

 I have made a lot of different genres of comedy , a lot of different varities of them .My one show of 30 mins wud ideally have 3 different types of genres , each genre for abt 10 mins, however here I m flexible acc to the client’s requirements.

I got into this industry late in life and this happened by God’s grace. One fine morning , a few years back , when I got up , I had  a few thoughts in my mind . I took a pen and started penning my thoughts on a sheet of paper and I saw that I had written a poem , a humorous one. And from dere onwards , started my journey of humour  writings and of course , followed by performances ,however , the seeds of humour , in me , I believe had got sowed , long back .

I shifted to Bangalore about 5 years back and I took up a job in an event management company as an outstation marketing manager. It so happened that once I was narrating an incident to one of my colleagues  that occurred during my work trip , and she made a v dumb face on which I commented something  and that was it – she started laughing. And then kept on laughing , and then I too laughed and then she laughed more and then me and so on … that day , A COMEDIAN was Born .

After that day , every thing that I said dere in office wud b funny , kind of , funny , I mean . That colleague of mine always laughed at whatever I said . and gradually everyone started to do the same . and then finally came a day wen the moment I entered the office premises in the morning , all my colleagues started laughing the moment they saw my face. And since then I wanted to make people laugh ,   so probably the roots were sown already  but took a little more time before I cud actually start writing humour.

I was born and brought up in Kolkata , I m not a Bengali by the way , I m the other majority population in kol, Marwari and was born wid a silver spoon in my mouth , or I think , it wud be more appropriate to say , a golden spoon or may be , I shud say , Platinum spoon , as thats more expensive. I hail from a business class Marwari joint family , having multiple businesses like factories , tea garden , transport business etc.In one of our factory functions , the then president Mr.  Gyani Zail singh was the chief guest and Mr. Manmohan Singh , then finance minister of India , had also attened that event . Those days , we were one of the biggest industrialists , people used to call us  – Bigshots , in Delhi., my father was the Chairman cum M.D. of our business and I was his favourite nd so , pampered  too .I had a personal maid for every need of mine and never stepped out of the house widout a car and driver.

I was a typical simple , innocent and naïve school girl and knew nothing more than getting up , going to school and then  cuming bk , eating , resting , doing home work and sleep off only to start anodr day with the same routine . I was also a hard core introvert , u  cant believe noh .. but yes , its true.

Did my entire schooling in a Birla School in Kolkata  and after that , went to Delhi , joined Gargi College , Bsc ( botany ) honours .. but now a graduate by correspondence , in English , B.A. I also did a one year diploma in Interior Design fronm South Delhi polytechnique , Lajpat nagar ,Then I became a member of Delhi gliding Club , a life – member , and then got enrolled in the DELHI FLYING CLUB . I then planned to go to the  U S for a commercial pilot’s license , but cud not get a  visa , thrice it got rejected  then I did a one year diploma course in Travel & tourism and I did v well dere..Then I did a few odd jobs and  also worked in a few BPO’s in Delhi. there those days while I was working in a Bpo , I was extremely quiet and so v introvert that once one of my colleagues actually commented that - Neelam , At least , sometime, u CAN open yr mouth.

Ultimately , a few years bk , wen I got into writing , I realized , yes , I m basically a CREATIVE person by nature , a passionate person , and so I turned my hobby into profession . Bcoz unless I like something , I cant do that thing .

So then , this is how , a new ME was born , v different . i myself cud have never imagined that one day , I wud b doing such a thing .

I still don’t believe that I m a Stand – Up comedian ., Funny  Noh , so then cum ,  Laugh Aloud along  with me ,

Ha ha .. Ho ho ..hee hee , ho ho .. no , I don’t like ho ho .. that’s too men- like  .. I m a female , grace is essential so only the first three ways of laughter is fine wid me..

Bcoz that’s wat u r supposed to do wen u see me or hear me or even , Think of me .

The moment u think of me, U shud start Laughing .. and that’s wat my aim is , as a stand – up comedian .

I have created already about 10 – 12 genres of comedy of my own , of different varities and have also made a comedy cum entertainment show and also poetic comedy , duo comedy etc...and I have also written a solo comedy skit , a musical , of 40  mins ,incorporating bollywood songs and dance sequences,  to b performed alone by me and choreographed and acting also decidedn done  by me, alone.  

I promise , u wl find my comedy v diff and innovative ..

As a person , I m v strong believer of morals and values and follow them v strictly . To me , Genuinity is extremely essential and I don’t accommodate any one who has proved to b dishonest or who doesn’t keep his/her worfds . I don’t like wen people don’t keep their promises or say lies. I m a gud lie detector too , no one gets away wid a lie with me and so if anyone tries to lie to me , then def I cum to know abt it and I never ever associate wid such people , irrespective of who he/she may be ,which is y I keep telling everyone , plz don’t lie to me ever. .Anyone who offers something or makes a promise and doesn’t keep it , I hate such people and Never ever Work with them , no matter wat they offer. I don’t care... It is my ethics , morals and values which r the MOST imp to me in life , Above ANYTHING else , Even Money , For that matter..I never compromise on these things no matter  wat  one  offers.

   Apart from being a “ funny “ lady , I m also a v serious person , on the contrary . I m a board member with a hindi weekly newspaper -, recently launched in Delhi , Maharana Sandesh , chiefly dealing wid social issues and I support all causes, welfare of mankind is one of my major life  goals .I m both a reporter cum writer, columnist with this weekly , Though a free- lancer. Soon wl get registered as a member of the Press club, Bangalore. In the first edition of the newspaper , Three of my humour poems ( poetic comedy )were published along wid a picture of mine.

Apart from this , I also Received an invitation to becum a member of the International dance Council , affiliated to the UNESCO , having its Head quarters in Paris. I got nominated for membership directly from the president and membership to this organization happens only by nomination from the president himself .This is the highest body for dance in the world and is recognized by all the govts , national and international ,all the top  dance organizations etc and has more than 200 countries as its member.I have not yet completed the formalities of membership and so for now , my name is listed in the Global Dance Directory .I have also received an invitation from the President of the Organization to visit their office if I ever happened to b in Paris.

To add , I have also made my own brands of comedy  for the radio which u wl hear v soon .

This , in short , is me , A funny , witty lady ..slightly crazy and unconventional .. that’s my nature , to b unconventional…

To do , Wat I feel like .. rather than going by the rules of the society ..

I m a free bird..i have wings to fly and so , I fly …flapping my wings.i go wherever my wings take me along wid them ... no one  dictates me ..or controls me..

No one tells me wat to do or wat not to do..

I do wat I want to do , The way I want to  , No one has a say in wat I do ..

I m my own master of my life and will…and work..

My work is my passion ,

Bcoz ,

I have turned  my passion into  my  work..
